Biography

Ivan Rohovskyi is a Ukrainian scholar in the field of mechanical engineering, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor and Head of Department. He specialises in ensuring the operational capability of machinery, testing vehicles, agricultural machines, forestry equipment and technical systems used in agro-industrial production.

In 1996, he graduated with honours from the Faculty of Agricultural Mechanisation of the National Agrarian University, now the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine, obtaining the qualification of mechanical engineer. He has worked at National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine since 1997, combining research, teaching, organisational and expert activities.

Since 2021, he has been the guarantor of the accredited educational and scientific programme “Industrial Machinery Engineering” at National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine for the training of third-cycle higher education students in speciality 133 “Industrial Machinery Engineering”, field of knowledge 13 “Mechanical Engineering”. He teaches disciplines related to the testing of vehicles, cars, agricultural machinery and forestry equipment.

The main area of Ivan Rohovskyi’s research covers technical and technological aspects of ensuring the operational capability of machines and equipment, including agricultural, construction, forestry and motor-vehicle machinery, as well as machines used in the food industry. His research interests are related to improving the reliability of technical systems, developing methods for machinery testing, assessing technical condition and ensuring the efficient operation of machinery in agro-industrial, transport and production environments. Ivan Rohovskyi is the co-author of 765 scientific, educational and methodological works, including one textbook, 6 study guides, 17 monographs, 9 brochures, 493 research articles, 146 conference abstracts, 42 educational and methodological publications and 52 patents of Ukraine.

Ivan Rohovskyi’s professional activity combines many years of experience in university education, scientific research, the training of academic staff, the evaluation of educational and scientific programmes, standardisation and editorial work. His scholarly achievements and organisational activity are aimed at advancing mechanical engineering, agricultural engineering, technical service and the quality of scientific research in the field of engineering and technology.
